Fernando is a proven leader with over thirty years of Human Resources experience. Fernando serves as trusted advisor across the areas of Leadership, Talent, Rewards and Strategic Alignment. He has a substantial track record of creating long term client relationships centered on value creation and providing an impact to deliver sustained organizational performance through innovative and tailored solutions. He possesses broad management skills in human resources, finance, and sales effectiveness strategies as well as deep technical knowledge in rewards, talent management, operations, engagement leadership and process design. Fernando has served large complex organization across industries including Technology, Life Sciences, Engineering, Automotive Government, Financial Services and Professional Services.
Prior to joining SGT Partners, Fernando was the Co-Founder of SET Alliance LLC, and Farell Grupo de Consultoria S.C. providing the leadership and business insights to help organizations manage complex business challenges and deliver results. This followed his tenure as the Latin America Region Leader in the Talent and Rewards practice for Aon Hewitt. Fernando also held leadership positions across IBM in both Mexico and the United States as Director and Region Leader across the areas of global banking, sales transformation, and sales-force human resources. With Fernando’s passion for the care and development of future leaders, he volunteered for many years as a business advisor and coach for the Illinois Small Business Development Center and a Board member of Bennu Legal Services.
Fernando received his degree in Electric and Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He has been a frequent speaker on HR issues and Cultural Differences, and has appeared on Mundo Ejecutivo (Mexico) and CNN en Español discussing practices of the best employers, leadership issues, employee engagement, and compensation trends in Latin America.
